Again I ask why an already beefy (imo) FH needs to be "pumped up"? I see so many obese clumsy fh, not sure what the point of this is. The main building blocks for a nuchal hump (aka kok) are protein and calcium. However excessive amounts of protein, fats, etc, are definitely going to lead to obesity.

Who said anything about over feeding? I just said that high protein will increase size of Kok rather then lower... but obviously the most important factor is genetics of the fish.

Best food to pump a Flowerhorn KOK is...

You did, you proposed "pumping up" an already pumped fish. You dont think the kok on this titanium is of very nice size? That its body is very beefy and thick? Why does it need to be more "pumped"? Clearly it's diet is more than sufficient...judging by the thickness of the lil beastie. And kok is looking damn good.

Your advocating feeding this fish extra in order to boost his kok growth, as I already asked..isn't it already pretty good size? Perhaps it's the phrase "pump them up" that get's me. If I was the owner of this fish I'd be so damn offended if some one told me I needed to "pump" it up. Because clearly the owner has done an ecellent job with it's diet/feeding.

"Pumping up" a flowerhorn sounds wayyy too much like "power feeding" a reptile. A practice that leads to guess what? Obesity, poor health, some times an early death.
