if you increase the output pressure you get more flow.....there is not much of a limit on how much water you can put thru a fitting.....until the pressure blows it apart or the high velocity tears it apart
larger pipes offer less resistance to flow......march pump recommends larger piping than the inlet and outlet sizes to reduce back pressure on the outlet and increase pressure on the inlet......most setups that i see use undersized plumbing......a ggod rule of thumb in not to exceed 5 feet per second flow on the intake and dont exceed 10 feet per second on the output.....slower is better and slower means bigger pipes..........
