Return pump question

I'm planning on using a sump tank to get all my tanks to have the same water chemistry. Be nice to have other tank connected to a heavily planted tank. What gph should I look for? Are those diy pvc overflow reliable? Ty.

I would just buy a regular overflow. As far as gph you need to specify tank sizes and bio load

3 tanks are: 275, 180 and 75.. I have a spare tank that I was going to use. My spare is 40g. I just need it so all water in 3 tanks shares the water so my plants consumes nitrates from the 275.
