Return pumps

Finally decided to put a sump on my tank, I am going to go with two return pumps as I work away most of the week, just not sure if to go for two equal size dc pumps or one large dc pump and a smaller proven workhorse ac pump.

I would go for two Jebao DCP pumps. What size tank are they going on?

I would go for two equal DC pumps, allows equal flow through both and puts less stress if you go with a smaller one and a large one.

I run two Jebao DCP 8000's on my 220. I run them at 55-60% and get about 1600gph total in my setup.

I like the Supreme mag Drive pumps, I recommend running at least two pumps in case one of those down. I'm also pretty big fan of fluval anybody used their sp return pumpa?

Extremely quiet. Any noise you have will be from other items. Not the pump.

Yep, as Eddie said, they are super quiet. I have a herbie drain setup and I can stand right next to my tank and not hear a thing. And, that's running about 1600gph.
