Reverse disc curl? HELP!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The ammonia burn goes without saying due to long transport. But my goodness, the base of their tail is almost non-existent. The conditions of the ray themselves are just horrible.

THEY BETTER RECTIFY THIS SITUATION!

Where did you get them? If you could PM me the info I would be grateful; just for future reference.

Not only is the tail thin, but the two tent like peaks on each side at base of tail are the
hip bones. Clear sign that the ray is emanciated.

to save money...why else...

Save now, lose future customers. Loss in the long run.
What horrible business practice.

I mean if you own a fish store, you really should have a passion for them. These are living things... I just can't justify saving a few bucks and putting these innocent creatures through so much pain.

Next time bring a bottle of prime to somewhat neutralize any ammonia built up from shipping, better than the stress from instantly dropping it in new water paramaters. Seeing how thin he was, im sure it was'nt the swap that killed him but it most likely added to the stress.

The flight itself was only an hour. Then there is the before and after which isn't very long. If they dropped it off a couple hours before that is only 3hrs till the time I got them. Yeah I am pissed!!

Sorry you had such bad luck with your first rays. Hopefully your royal will be able to hang on and make a full recovery. Just to clarify the pearl/motoros where from me and where captive bred and are all alive. The other two where the ones shipped and where emancipated and the one suffered ammonia burns. They where wildcaught rays and I've seen the original picture he sent you and they would have been old pics when there was some weight on the rays and the on isn't even in the pics. It really was false advertising sending you old pics

You dont understand, we're not talking about whether it is right or wrong. Business is about money, not about animals rights. The point is, it saves money to use less food, which is obviously fed to the more expensive fish. Why do they even care if one customer stops buying, they have plenty more. This is how the business world is...

Not if I have something to say about them on the boards and send pms to everyone I know. That will be more then just one customer. So it would be in there best interest to rectify the problem.
