so ive kept arowana before and never had them get drop eye. i just picked one up thats a nice specimen, nice colors, good size. but hes got drop eye in one of his eyes pretty bad. not so bad on the other side.
I know there's been debates on preventing it...but is there any way to reverse it?

the 1 method that i have heard of poeple doing , mostly in asia is to have surgery to take out the fat behind the eye.
another 1 is to have bright objects on top of your tank (ping pong balls..ect..) but i think it's more of a mean for prevention and even as that it isn't completely proven that it is effective.

I do not know it this really works. I just read it on another site. If you put the fish with drop eye into a shallow pond it will help to reverse drop eye by forcing the fish to look up. Again I do not know if this works just what I read.

it does work. i moved a silver witf drop eye into a pond, after 6 months, no more drop eye. i wonder if a fiber glass tank would do the same job.
