does anybody use the fluval canister filter 206? is it worth the money and does it do a good job, it will be going on my 38 gallon with a penguin 200 if not the fluval whats something similar andd does a good job. thanks :)

I would go with the Fluval 305 or 306 if I were you.

Drfoster and smith usauly the cheapest and free shipping with orders over 50 bucks sometimes you can also find good deals on ebay amazon and craigslist but if I want to buy new and have something specific in mind I use drfosters and smith.
Good luck!

Id get an aquaclear 110, awesome capacity and insane flow for the price.

If your not dead set on a canister filter the AC 110 would be a sweet option like F1 Vet stated.I run 2 AC 50s in my 29g tank and it's crystal clear.

I was just looking to change it up abit ive run HOB filters for a long time and im looking to try something new ill look into a aquaclear but I like how many options I have for media with a canister.

Ac110 has over a gallon of room to customize media preferences.

Imo the only canisters worth a **** are fx5, rena xp series, and any eheim series. Anything else is just... Well.... Cheap Unless its some crazy German brand or something I don't know about that's not readily available...

Or you could always run a sump, that way you have a thousand options of media and configurations.

You could always get a aquatop cf300 or the 400. I have the 400 with uv and I love it. If you wanna be one of the cool kids get a fx5. Not being a jerk with that comment but there are many great options for filtration other than a fx5. I would probly do a sump before I do a fx5. I have many friends that own them and they leaked, broke, or they just hated them. I also know many people who use the aquatops and only say good things about them. I also think the ac110 would be a better option for you. If money plays a factor look into the aqueon 55/75. I bought one just because of its reviews and it was $25 through drfosters. Great filter and I use marineland bonded pads with extra bio media behind the pads and the water flow is great.

If you want a canister that's great and isn't too expensive look into the aquatop.
