I may have a pair coming in a week, ever since i saw these guys a few years ago i fell in love but never really decided to get one. I will be talking to the person tomorrow about the pair and hopefully all goes well and i get them next week. I have a nice 4x2x6 (LWH) for them if it goes though and i will post some pics

Decided to get some crested geckos again before I jumped into leachies. I haven't kept Rhacs in a few years and want to get my feet wet ya know.

I'm hoping these guyss decrease in price in the next few years. For their sake I think they need to stay on the rarer side, but when I can get some high-end babies for 200ish I'll dive right in. By the time I'm out of college with enough money saved up, theres a pretty fair chance that it'll happen, I mean thats anywhere from 4-7 years off. Albino retics (one of my other must-haves) have plummeted in the past few years, so thats a good sign. I remember when I first started checking KS classifieds in 8th grade they were around 1000 each as babies, now 4 years later theyre around 300, after college I wouldnt be surprised if they were 175 or less, which would be perfect.

Leachies are so expensive because with the exception of one locality - which takes 2 years to mature - they take around 4 years to mature into breeding stages. It's pretty frustrating to have a female and male pop duds for 3 years straight every few months. :)

They are definitely worth the 300 a piece you can find them for now, there is nothing cooler than hearing gecko's vocalize to each other at night.
