You sure it was an Ossa, Daniel? Just curious, because I see them on the Peruvian availability list so perhaps a knife from the Brazilian side is different?
Surely it was a Ramphichthys, most probably R. rostratus. A freshly caught specimen... VERY IMPRESSIVE. These are called "sarapo" in some places here, and are DELICIOUS. I have eaten some 1-foot specimens in a fisherman's house... but he simply doesn't keep them alive for me. He says they are too tasty to waste.
