I guess that's right then but that's close enough to being extinct for me.Maybe they should clarify that these rhinos are extinct in the wild but not in some zoos?....I didn't give the link.
 
it might be close enough for u but its not really extinct
 
With the only populations left in zoos it is only a matter of time before the species is extinct or at least the uniqueness of the western populations genes will be lost forever. After all, across a species different populations are unique both geographically and genetically and losing any one population is detrimental to the overall genetic health of a population. Plus, there aren't enough zoos on the planet to keep enough rhinos to avoid inbreeding depression. :( Either way you cut it, the situation blows, and we as a species are to blame.

Yeah thanks.I got a big kick out of it when I first saw it and then I thought about just how good an observation it actually is.Me and the member who made the statement had a good convesration over it a while back.
