I'm not talking about the jumping **** :P :D
I tell, animals must not be imprisoned, especially alone.
keeping a wild born fish alone in a glass tank sounds not good to me.
still. same theory. and you are keeping a ten foot fish( pima) in a ten foot tank. I would rather be the rhom.

If animals must not be imprisoned then why do you have fish? You're contradicting yourself...

Thanks man!

rhoms are not only coming together just to for mating.
in nature, they have small shoals.
I've seen it several times.
They come together during certain seasons particularly the dry seasons when food is in low supply and they're more vulnerable to predation. So this shoaling is a result of stimuli not a want of the fish as in times of plenty they choose to be alone. So in that regard the shoals are forced upon them for survival and even during this time the stress causes them to turn on each other almost constantly. See I watch animal planet just like you dude. lol! So unless your plan is to mimic this dry season in your aquarium your point isn't valid as the piranhas wouldn't notice the lack of the dry season and without it wouldn't receive the stimuli necessary to feel the need/want for what you consider "companionship".

Now don't think I didn't notice you attempted to only counter one small part of my post, which probably means it's the only one you thought you where capable of countering or debating. Another quick point if your going to pick apart living in an aquarium you have to be fair and acknowledge all the problems, such as Piranhas naturally migrate. Now if your really concerned about your fish being "happy" you'd have to create such a situation in captivity. There's other points that can be made on that front, but I'll only ask you to tell me how you care for your fish and their "happiness" so much yet don't allow the Piranhas and Pima the pleasure of migrating? The need to wander and explore, to stake out new territories and meet new fishy friends for themselves. By denying them that aren't you denying them an important natural stimuli that would make them "happy"?

guys, how about we let this thread die and everyone forgets about it?
