If everything else in the tank can tolerate copper that would do the trick for sure. I would use it only as a last resort though it is very strong and can remain in a system a very long time harming most fish that don't have scales or any inverts

Get a shoal of clown loaches, because they'll get rid of all your snails and once they're gone you still have CL's to watch
Clown loaches and plecos they love and they generally keep the population in check and at a low number.
