Riddle Me This, Riddle Me That....

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
time taken by Car 1 to travel from A to C = a/36 and the time taken by car 2 to travel from B to C = 324/b. So since both the cars meet at C, then these two times are equal, a/36 = 324/b or b = 324 * 36/a =11664/a

I guess ]V[FK members dont like math problems too much...... Fine the answer is 54miles/hr (If you want to know how just PM me, and I'll be glad to show you)

idk, im not a math person. i drew out a lil line w/ 13 points and figured if point C to point B was 324 miles that point A to point C was 162 miles.. making it a 486 mile trip.
then idk what i did

is that right so far, or is it wrong? if it's wrong im just hopeless.. but if what i said was right so far.. then my answer was wrong b/c i calculated it as a 468 mile trip instead of a 486 one by accident.

The amount of time taken by Car 2 to travel from C to A can be described as a/b or a*a/11664. But it is given that Car 2 takes 4 hrs to travel from C to A. So you know a*a/11664 = 4 or, a*a = 46656
Now taking the square root on both sides, we get a = 216. So we end up with b=11664/216 = 54. Therefore the speed of Car 2 is 54miles/hr :D
