ridiculous fish foods!!!!!!

ok, i've heard of some weird fish foods but recently i've heard a lot about peope using dry cat and dog food to feed their catfish.

people with very big and healthy looking catfish too!!

i've heard it is used a lot for fish farming and breeding catfish on a large scale.

whats your thoughts?

an if u think about it...cat food and dog food is made of real fish,veggies and other meats, and so is fish food..

Such foods can mess up water pretty badly... I can imagine what would happen when you dry dog food in water, it almost instantly gets quite mushy and breaks up...

^ The fatty oils create a film at the surface of the water too. Not worth the few bucks they save imo.

me neither, but it certainly gets fish to grow faster. I guess it's lean enough to not be a problem?

I feed my fish an occasional hot dog, they love it, I tend to stuff it with pellets though for nutrition

Could be,it's something I've seen in books over the years but I've never bothered to try it.
