rimless gtank glass?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
This is refreshing to hear....someone planning and spending on proper material.
Good building fellow MFKer!!

Well not worth the loosing all that water for sake of another £100 when it could cost a whole lot more in repairs, i dont understand folk that take such risk and not to mention the loss of a fish if it busts,

What type of sealant or adhesive do you plan on using for this build? That's good to hear and the glass is really cheap.

The supplier is a tank manufacturer so as we know they buy in bulk, bet these get it direct from Pilkingtons which is local to us. For sealant i was thinking thinking on HA6 as i have used it in the past, not sure yet on the adhesion to resin yet though.

What I would to looking at is the data sheets as well. You want to be checking the shear strength and tensile strength of your adhesive just my 2 cents

I do have the data sheet for this adhesive in the link below but it will not let me upload it

thank kida ;)

Also there is a change of plan on the tank build, i have been wanting a Chinese water dragon for some time, so i am going to combine the Archer tank now of a 125g ish 4.5 l x 3 d x 1.5 h inside the 9 l x 3 d x 6 h. will ,look awsome i reckon.

That makes me curious on how you plan on making it all one setup. Do you have a plan or just an idea at the moment

I have a plan, not that plans ever go to plan lol, i have a 9 l x 3 d x 6 h area, i was going to make a 1700l tank but i am to worried about the floor taking it so imagine.........looking to the front, there is a 9 l x 6 h vivarium, to the bottom right there is a 4.5 l x 3 d x 2 h tank, the rest is the viv, easy, although here is a lot more to it, DIY rocks for a water fall, backing, rock piles etc, ledges for the water dragon and planters for real plants, in the tank i will be setting out as a normal/mangrove type setting with a sump. the water fall will go from the left edge of the tank down to the bottom small pool then in to the sump froma bottom drain. autp mist spray for the humidity for the dragon from the tank water.

Its all in my head ;)
