LV Golden Knights!
Ordered two of these guys from americancichlids.net and recieved them today AP to AP. They are a lot smaller than what I expected, Dan told me they are 7", but they are more around the 6" mark and super skinny. Already kind of dissapointed. Gonna try to feed them cut shrimp this evening when they settle down.

Tank Stats:
40 Gallons
87F (Rena 300 Smartheater)
Aquarium Salt (3/4 of full dosage)
Hikari Prazipro (3/4 of full dosage)
Fluval 404 (packed with biomax)
Sponge Filter
2 Aerators (1 powering the sponge filter)

Smaller one in its baggy

Larger one in its baggy

Bigger one is camera shy and when i try to get close for a photo it hides behind the sponge filter.

There going to look HOT, once they gain some weight.........Keep us posted.

They look good to me bro!! Skinny yes...So was mine...If they don't eat the cut shrimp right away, I'd suggest feeders to fatt'n em up a bit first.. Mine are just killing the feeders and have big oh bellies every time I see them.

Seriously, don't worry about it! Look at ours (monsterpeacock's) the first night again and compare 'em to yours...and all they had to endure after they arrived in Denver was an additional 20 minute car ride, certainly not an additonal plane trip. Remember, these are wild caught. They're going to be skinnny, skittish, and freaked. Give it time. We've gotten nothing but quality from Dan. We may have gotten to pick ours first, but I think they'll all be good. Best of luck!

I would just feed them gut loaded feeders right now to get them chunky quick. Try the shrimp later when you know they are out of the danger zone.

just some input like others said they are wild caught n freaked out from being passed out shipped around etc..best advice put some feeders n the tank and just leave em..let them adjust to thier surroundings..once settled they will be alot better..good luck and keep us posted
