Hello, I'm a new member to MFK - just getting back into the hobby w/ a focus on NW Cichlids - mostly central. Here are a few pics of my make Rio Cabuya siquia that I got from Rapps. He grew up in a 135 and 75 and just moved to a 300. He is 5" TL and has quite the attitude - especially since I put his girl back in the tank. He's chasing larger cutteri, similar length female festae and HRPs all over the 300 - leaving the rest alone. He really is a mini-midas, for those that like Amphilophus, but don't have the space - similar personality as well.

Sure, I'll get some pics when I get home tonight - just set it up a couple of week ago. It will change a good bit. I have several male Amphilophus and a few Veija and Parachromis males coming in a couple of days. This will be their grow-out until I get the 600 I am planning on. I figure all my cryptoheros can hang for a while - but not too long. The biggest guy w/ teeth in there now is an 8.5" make Jack D. And he is gently - unless you screw w/ him. I'll likely put the picture guy and his gal in a 58 or 75 alone to start spreading some fry in this area. I did just drop off two growouts and one of his sisters at Southern Aquatics in Atlanta if anyone is interested.

I've also attached a few close-ups of the Rio Cabuya Siquia's girl. You can see that she is pretty chunky for a girl as well. She was in another tank taking a few shots, so her fins aren't perfect yet. Her getting picked on has come to a complete stop, now that she is back w/ her man.

Yes. I just picked up 6 from him. Really small right now. Can’t wait to see how they turn out. How would you describe their growth rate?
