Rio Cabuya siquia Pics

Yes. I just picked up 6 from him. Really small right now. Can’t wait to see how they turn out. How would you describe their growth rate?
Congrats - I'd say they grow pretty fast - though I ended up w/ 4 females and 2 males - one sub dominant male was so-so. This guy maxed out pretty quick. Keep us updated - I'm missing my boy.

Male might be the best looking convict I have ever seen. I have seen quite a few too. Awesome fish.
Thanks - miss this guy. If you want a mini-midas w/ color to boot, this is your fish. Interesting, I almost got a similar guy at the Atlanta Fish auction this weekend - would have if I only had the aquarium space. Ken Davis had what he described as a new species he just collected. If was from a river on the border b/w the HRP and Siquia range. He said it was tall and big like a siquia, and red fins like a HRP. I'm sort of kicking myself for not picking some of those guys up and giving it a try.

Sounds amazing. I'm tempted to pick up some cabuya from rapps because of these pics. We will see haha

NW Cichlid Keith NW Cichlid Keith did they spawn often?[/QUOT
Constantly - and the males were not rough on the females, which was nice as well - even when in their own and small tank. I had one female that would only breed w/ a HRP, and that HRP would not breed w/ other HRPs. I guess true fish love.
