the shutter speed is too slow thats why youre getting blurry pictures. set it to about 300-400/th of a second and higher the iso if its too dark.

HAHA !!!!I have only had the camera a little over 2 weeks it's my first that was not a point and shoot I thought i had it tonight .I have a D3000 and on some settings i cant change the shutter speed and i have not found it in the manual yet .Do you know the nikon's?

i am a canonian, good sir. go to manual or shutter speed priority. jack the shutter speed compensation up and the iso to 800-1600 and the shutter speed to about 300-500. also program mode can render some nice pictures
