Rio Meta vs Rio Yucao orino cichla

IMO, They are one in the same. (Colombia) IMO, The geographic location are to close for major morphs, color, size etc. Now compare Ven orinos, Brazilian Orinos, Singapore orinos and Colombian orinos.

That makes since but, the photographers at aquatic-experts.com documented that there is a big difference of orinos in the north and south of a river they were filming at. They said that they noticed with the orinos north of the orinoco river were yellowish in color and the orinos south of the orinoco river in the same river were blue-green in color. With that kind of contrast in one river alone these orinos couldpossibly turn out different then rio metas, but I completely agree with you.

My Rio Yucaos definitly look more yellow green than blue green like the Rio Meta I had. They have less yellow spangling at this size than the rio meta did as well.

Only time will tell.

My Rio Yucaos are a solid 3.5 inches now and fat.

These 2 seem to get along well for the most part. During the day they are always staying together but late at night they seem to be getting into tusses with each other. I don't know if its pair bonding or dominance.

The top fella in the photo is #1 and bottom fella is #2.

#2 seems to instigate and initiate the confrontations but #1 fires back hard and puts #2 on the run each time.

These tusses seem to happen more and more as they grow so I will be selling 1 to prevent damaged fish.

I only have room for 1 bass as well with my tank size.

Don't sell them this is what pbass do, you need to get maybe one or two more to spread it all out. I have the same Os from Jeff has you as you, as you know, but I have 6 and that spreads the play. Do you see any damage? If not it's normal play, think of teen age boys always challenging.
