Loving both man. The Columbians have very balanced markings. Rio Negro's have some real attitude to them, more so than normal Orino's. I have them housed with some some Kelberi, and Armatus...heh...the armatus get punked all the time from the RN. All my Orino's have almost caught up in size to the Kelberi too...God those fish grow slowly.

i belive that like it has been stated, the variation of a rio negro from the orinocos is the more circular blotch. Other coloration/effect's will be observed later in the growth. i need to swap my lighting it is way to bright. if i may ask what is yours?

My lights are pretty bright...I think (been a while) its 2 10000 power compacts.
