Rio Negro Orinocensis - THE HOLY GRAIL!

ok check this out...what do you guys think. i have this orino, he's about 14-15". he's missing an eye but he has the most amazing color out of all the others. he is always an emerald green color with royal blue dorsal fin and intense cheek markings. ive noticed that he has a shorter snout too compared to the others.

do you guys see a resemblance?

like I said in the other thread, the spangling is very close also. Only time will show....
 
yeah who knows. if they turn out to be like the big guy id still be stoked. i havent seen another orino around like this guy. overall head shape looks very different from my others and his color is just jaw dropping. only time will tell!!!!!!!!
 
How big are your Rio Negro's now Jose? It's amazing the color differences between them and your big orinos. And the mad spangling they have.

interesting point. this is my first blind fish so i cant comment, but it does make sense. maybe they feel the need to show off or intimidate since theyre missing an eye. who knows

thanks man, the two bigger guys are about 6.5" id say, the smaller is about 6"
 
Lookn good....Its also cool how the bars vary....diamonds or circles. That 4 spot is hot! The peruvians lookn good to.
