Y i agree, filtration is the most important thing for an aquarium, but dunno why when i switch off the filtration they looks less stressed, they hunts, etc.. when filtration is on , they dont do anything .. that why i think there is a probleme with my filtration, maybe it s too loud as u said..but i tryed to make it quiet..
 
Do you ever turn the filtration off during the day or just when you sleep? I still think it has to do with the time of day your turning it off.
 
rofl i know ... but the aqua is in my room , and the noise of the filtration make that i cant sleep, anyway if i could keep it all the time i would do it !!

But, i just turn off it during the night, but i saw , some day, where i forgot to put the filtration On, that the hoplias would swim and if the filtration would be on , they wouldn't swim .. i just saw that.

But i will repeat it, I know that it would be better to let the filtration works 24/24, when i dont sleep at home, this is what i do .. (but u know 7 hours without filtration is not a crime and wont change a lot of thing) ..
