RIP all me fish and DATS

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
ouch, you have my condolences. We have all been through these situations, but with that 12" dat and arows, I would be crying! The worse it that you have no closure until you find the COD. Maybe the bb died in the gravel, and that killed them. Or some contaminant when transferring them? Hope you find out, as well as recover from this. :(

I hate it when people back out from deals!

That is so true! Right, Outh?
But I am seriously sorry for your loss. No fish deserves such an end :(. I guess the NGTs were lucky...

How did you move the fish? Were they sitting in bins or buckets? Maybe it had to do with the heater and temp. to the water, because last night was one of the colder days lately up here in the northeast.

Dude.... How...did so many fish die in one night ????

Really sorry for ur loss... Im still shocked that soo many in dats in one night....

That really sucks. :(

A better idea would have been to setup and cycle the 180 before you even put the 120 on the market.

I really hate to rush things when it comes to moving fish into new tanks.

Hey outh,
Sorry for your lost bro.
Its probably the oxygen level, not enough oxygen is being provided for these fish. My datnoids can live in the most shiety water without a problem, but if there is lack of oxygen it could lead to fatality.

maybe it was the gravel? my friend moved his gravel and his fish started to die
I didn't put the gravel back on...i leave the gravel in the bucket. just the water from the 120g

How long was the 120 up and running before you took it down ?
Been running for a few months already never had any problem.

Was there power outage ? how long were the fish in the 40 and 30 gallon breeder ?
no power outage.. the 40g and 30g been running with my small indo and hospital tank for a few months as well. never had any problem.

D
id you clean the 40 and 30 gal. tanks? if so...

yea i did....i did everything that i use to do many time. i never have this kind of incident.

thank John for the heads up:nilly: both tank run with filter and power head, not sure why wouldn't be enough oxy?:WHOA:
