sorry for your loss im guessing the gar ate him or its hiding b/c my gar attacked my 3" CK last time
 
gars are attracted to silvery fish, unless it is bigger than the gar i would strongly recommend not putting a ck in with gar.

edit: i have watched my 14" florida gar cut 6" goldfish in half and eat just the tail half and leave the rest floating, so dont doubt there ability to eat a larger ck.

It probably was the stupid gars..... who killed him. He was to big for them to eat. Glad I am getting rid of the gars tommrow. I am getting a silver aro out of this. Hopefully the owner will get me another ck.
