Geez, I can't believe all the negativity...
The poor guy just died. Can't we just respect that? If all you have to say are things about his actions, how about just not posting at all?
To the OP, sorry for the loss of your friend. It must be tough, I wish all his friends and family the best.

Mudslinger has a point, what kind of idiot does that with other people in the car? You finally get your licenses and what do you do, you drive around like and idiot killing yourself and injuring others. It was entirely the drivers fault and got what he deserves. I feel sorry for the passengers and the driver's parents but not the driver.
