He was the best looking fish I've ever owned, interactive and full of attitude. I'm not exactly sure what got him, but I suspect a problem with the swim bladder might have been it. Once side was slightly swollen and he couldn't swim straight. Did the usual water change on Sat afternoon and he seemed to be ok. Sunday morning he was listed to one side. And found him dead on the bottom of the tank this morning.

I didn't have a net large enough to fit his whole body into. Ticker of the tape = 12" from nose to tail and a little over 4 years old. Just a young pup :(

He was an amazing carpinte. RIP, sorry for the loss. It must suck to lose a fish that has been with you for 4 years.
 
I'm trying to find out if one of the guys I gave fry to has any left. Might do a TUIC order this summer. But it'll take a long time to grow out another male like this guy :(
