thats kinda what iwas thinking, i wouldnt think it would cloud up your water that bad that fast!
i bet a fish tried to get it and thats what caused it.
I might have exaggerated. What I meant to say was " it looks like someone poured 50 gallons of milk in my 210 gallon tank with 160 gallons of water". It wasn't like he was in a 50 gallon tank where the water looked like straight milk. You guys are prob right though

My dad had one in his 55 back in the day. He got it from the river and it was gold and about 2" and by the time it died it was about 5" and black and white. We still have the shell.
I have a bunch with my feeders.
Cool. When I got him he was about 7 3/4. He put on the last 1/4 in the last year or so.
Contrary (spelling) to what I have always read and been told, I find that keeping clams is quite easy and good filtration. All that is required is the clams have enough sand to borrow in. They are filter feeders, and from what I have read, a clam of this size can filter up to 20 gallons of water a day by feeding. The average sized clam of 3-5 inches can filter 10 gallons of water. I didn't find that pearl though
For the picture, to give you a size comparison besides the ruler, I am 6 foot 4, 235 lbs. My hands are BIG, even compared to guys my size....
