RIP Norm MacDonald

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'm not familiar with the person you mention but whatever sport, and whoever it is, it is always sad to hear of the passing of a sporting icon who gave so much enjoyment to so many fans.

Saturday Night Live cast member from 1993-1998

Maybe the term "player" is slightly misleading

Gotcha, so he was a "player" in the sense that he was a member of a team on a comedy panel show? We have those type of shows in the UK. They usually have team captains who are a constant through the series but other panel members are comedic guests who change from week to week.

We've just lost a guy called Sean Lock in the UK to cancer. He was a team captain on one of our shows. A very funny guy.

Not exactly. I'd say it's more like a series of rehearsed sketches, however I'm sure he's made panel appearances here and there

Go look up "I'm not Norm" on youtube and watch some of the sketches. The guy was fearless. He ALWAYS mentions the elephant in the room.

Yeah I think I need to. I put my foot in it somewhat by thinking the guy was a sports star, which I can relate to because a lot of my sporting heroes have passed. Out of respect I will look him up later, and hopefully have a right good chuckle at his work.

Man, I've just spent the last hour in tears watching this guy. Alcoholics don't have it so bad....they get to drink all the time! This type of close to the bone humour is right up my street.

There's loads of stuff on you tube, I'll be ploughing my way through it all that's for sure.
