RIP October 02 to August 09(18" Dovii)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I really hate to hear this, he was beautiful. I've had my favorite fish (red devil) for about seven years now, she's family. I would hate to lose her.

Approximately how long did it take him to become a "monster"?

Approx 4 years. He was the smartest and had the most personality of any fish I have ever owned. As close as a fish can get to owning a dog. Thats why I named him Flipper he reminded me of a dolphin as far as personality and brains but he was bad to the bone also.
I was going to break down another tank leaving me with just one tank left, but I went out and bought a pair of Dovii at 3", and put them in the 180. Once you've owned a monster dovii there is no going back.:D

Sorry to hear bro. What a beauty that fish was.

I'm very sorry for your loss, he was a beautiful fish.

I am at a lost for words. I know the feeling. I own a pair of dovii and a spare male at 11.5in. Something similar happened to me. I had a FH that I grew out to about 11 in and died. That was my pride and joy. The family wet pe. He got a swim blaffer infection and downhill from there. Had him for years also. Feel better. I hope all is well. Was he a single or did you have a mate for him?
