Rip *killer*, he has eaten over 6 tankmates in the 8months that i have had him. I got him when he was an inch and a half big and passing away at about 9 and fat. Still a HUGE mystery as to why he died, but i already miss my favorite fish.

thanks for the replys, yes it sucks watching a such a small fish start to get mature then die while you do everything you can to stop it. jesus has his ways i guess.
me too, what really sucks is that i gave my buddy a 75 gallon, stand, lights, filters, ext... for free to hold onto this guy because he was eating all of my fish. The tank had been cycling for about a week and then all of a sudden he croaks. 5 days before he died he ate my 6in BGK, then a day before he died he ate my 5" GT. so i wonder if that had something to do with it, because he spit out the gt, it was half digested floating in the tank. what a shame!

maybe there was something he was allergic to in the green terror.. i am sure that not everything they eat agrees with fish either.. they are probably in some respect like humans .. where as not everyone is the same..or it could even be he caught a bone in his throat or mouth.. i quess you will never know for sure but terrible loss..
If you had only cycled the tank for a week then I'm afraid it probably wasen't fully cycled, it takes longer than a week for the bacteria to develop and build up. Did you check your water before and after you put the fish in the tank?
red devil- i was thinking the same thing, must have done something to the GT, or the GT did something to him to cause his death, only thing i can think of
