Sucks to here a lost big tank.
But I would never trust a DAS tank. AA up here were all falling apart at the seems & cracking.
I once took in 7 custom good size up to 180 setups & they all end up leaking!
good luck on the next one.

me dave

I think the big thing is just the fact that this one is old. It's at least 10 years old but more likely it's close to 15. and most any tank that's this old is bound to have seam issues I would imagine. and DAS doesn't do the seems on these style tanks like this anymore. they bevel the glass now these panels are straight not beveled. and thus you have to use more silicone to seal them properly.

thats bad koop, i still think you should have repaired the tank and restocked it.
thats tank was a monster.

I could have but just didn't want to. It would be great to still have around but It's time to take a step back and focus on a smaller (220) tank and better stock. then when the time comes I'll be back with a tank to be very very proud of. Something new something DIY.

amazing set up.

sorry you had to take it down.

maybe I missed it, but why did you have to sell it?

a few reasons. I didn't realy want to tackle the reseal b/c the seams are not your everyday seam. Most of the people who Helped move this tank in I'm not in touch with anymore b/c they were all basically work friends and I would have to hire someone to come move this tank when I move from this house. and with the crapy economy it was better to not run a tank this large right now.

Ouch, a real pity. that was really nice tank with some monsters
