The footage of the catfish wae great ,the rest was a waste of time..

i got lucky and caught the back end of the rerun, where he caught the large fish, i would find it hard to believe they could get 8-9ft and eat people, as far as the added info about crocs and the people, they only had so much footage of acual fish catching, therefor they had to plump up the show to last awhile.

i know i was watching this and fell in love <3 i want one:hearts:

show was entertaining. but def needs more info and time devoted to the fish, not just the environment, although i kept watching....

True, the one last week focused a lot more on Piranha. Where as this episode talked more about crocs than the cat. Interesting to see what they will do with the Gator Gar.

also with the piranha they showed him catching a payara, a niger catfish, and swimming with the dolphins, so it was more than just talking about the piranha eating humans. the goonch episode he focused as much on the goonch as he did the piranha the only difference was that he didnt have all the other fish in this episode. i hope the gator gar episode is more like the piranha episode.

It's TV, people. It has to entertain the fish keepers, and the people that don't know anything about fish. If it was just a 30 min. long video of a fish swimming, normal people wouldn't watch it.

True that! Although...shows about marine fish are the same way. They show a lot of environment & backstory too. I think it's a damn good start for letting people/kids know that there are great FW fish to get into. Every kid wants to be a marine biologist at some point growing up. Why not try get them into FW & advance our science & hobby?
