Those were some pretty big tarpons and only looked to be about half grown.

When I was in Puerto Rico we went to this lagoon kind of area and there were some pretty big tarpon there. Most of them looked like three and four footers.

There is a local secret here in Florida. There's a pond that was once connect to the Indian River Lagoon that was dredged out and cut off, but connect by one 6 foot wide pipe at the bottom. The pond is only about 100 feet wide at the widest part, but its almost 30 feet deep. Tarpon have been trapped in there and some have grown to 6 feet. They just roll around at the surface in this small pond.

There are lot of monster fishes around that he hasn't do a show on them. Like Asp, Giant Carp, Bambusa, Eurpoean Pike, Muskellunge, European Carp etc..

I think he basis's his show off accounts of the fish. I have no clue where he gets these from such remote locations, but maybe if you send him an email saying on of those fish killed your friend he might showcase the fish you'd like to see.

Just a thought.

He is going to be fishing for lamprey's after all...
