Greenland shark believe is protected plus hasn't ever harmed anyone. Pretty docile shark plus would be difficult to catch one. Electric catfish doesn't have methal shocking ability.

Finally caught up and got it watched last night... I can't believe with all his fishing experience he didn't know what it was immediately after seeing the bites... I know that was probably scripted drama, but to me it makes him look less intelligent and knowledgeable.
As soon as I saw the bite I guessed lamprey, saw a guy foul snag one last summer, pulled it and the carp it was attached to up at the same time... ugly little suckers...
Still a cool episode...

Still they are his last hope if he want keep the show going. There are myths and legends around the greenland shark and the electric catfish by the way. Remember he did a show on sturgeons, giant salmanders and paddlefish....not very dangerous fish.
 
He caught a cool looking bowfin with those prespawn green.

You liked the lamprey episode? Other than the bowfin and the lake trout, I thought the rest was beyond awful. I don't care about some blood sucking leech like fish. I want to see him catch some real fish! Lol

Lol I agree lamphreys are lame I wonder why he wouldn't target an aba aba knife fish they get pretty big.

+2 i thought it was mildly entertaining at best lol...hes really stretching for some fish to find. Longnose gar and bowfin were def. The best part. Did anyone notice he only used fly rods, even when trolling? My guess is thats all thats legal on the lake? Ive never seen anyone troll with a fly rod before

Okay so I'm not crazy having noticed that too... I did however appreciate the "rough" NA fish he caught instead of showing a bunch of bass or walley or northern... Those LNG's where crazy.

The man seriousely needs to look at the aba aba's... can't tell me a 5'+ ambush predator hasn't been responsible for a few mangled limbs or drownings.
