The tank is exposed to direct sunlight for an hour or two in the morning since it's located near the window. And I observed that my goonch got darker and developed more speckles. Do you think its because of the dark substrate and sunlight?

I most certainly do! Yours has some of the best colors for a Bagarius on the forum!

I had the goonch albino wels combo two but it didn't really work out form me the goonch ripped the wells to shreds about 3 days after I put them in the same tank have you had any issues yourself? What is the temperment of your goonch? He's got a great pattern btw!
