That's because it has the largest volume of water compared to any river. It has more sp. than any river in the world and I think it even has more identified sp. than the Atlantic Ocean.

more than the atlantic? that doesn't sound right to me. there are probably more unidentified sp in the atlantic I would think

Not enough non-anadromous endemics, I suppose.
How about the Sand Roller? One of our only endemic fish! No love.

Only 8 rivers are there at the River Safari. I dont know why but I think they go only for the familiar river in the world.
