So my parents got a reverse osmosis system i know what it does pure fresh water where i dont need to add any clorine remover. My question is its 30 gals a day, does that mean after the 30 gals is up does bad water come out? And the tank it came with is a 5 gal tank attached to the system.

The RO unit will produce 30 gallons of water in a 24hr period.

Ro unit filters water very slowly, basically when the 5 gal container is empty the water will just drip from the nozzle no real flow, ro water needs addative or will not be good for your fish, no kh gh (mineral content) = ph swings big ones, very bad for your fish. Fresh or saltwater? You can buy additional larger containers and attach them, you will also need to heat the water ro only uses cold water.

Well the way i was thinking is fill ten gals a day till day 4 then do my water change and i have infloor heat so that will raise the temp. Its for my 150 gallon fresh water set up. Before i had to lug my water down to the basement now with this system seems easier to use. So if i get this right i wont need auqa plus but i need a proper ph buffer to get that right.

Seachem makes something for specifically for creating buffer in RO water, I would add slime coat promoter also but may be an all in one. Check out there site

Is this unit just for tank or for your family too? Coz at 10g per day that means for 4 days out of the week no one else can use it?

Ok so now after further research i learned that pretty much my system will fill that 5 gal bucket and take 5 hours to fill so then i tap it into my 5 gal pail i have to wait another 5 hours to get that 5 gals back and to my understanding il still need to buy a product to buffer my ph. Seems like more of a hassle im young i guess i can deal with walking up and down the stairs my water is really good how it is never had water issues in the passed might as well not change my routine.
