RO/DI would take 46 days

it makes sense to me, the chlorine will break inside the week ,the carbon filter will remove the chloramine and your tank will cycle, if you are concerned that the chloramine is not being removed fast enough by the carbon and delaying the cycle process then throw in a bottle of prime as well
 
Chlorine will be gone in a few days with good airation, I dont know if many people on here do ro/di with big systems. I've had many a fish salt/fresh on well water with no problems and I'm a fan of Prime myself
 
chlorine will break down fairly quickly but chloramine stays in the water unless removed thru activated carbon or prime or similar products
