Rock Bass

you could prob. easly catch one in your area, i have a lake house in WI and there are lots of rock bass, all sizes. I was wondering what size tank to i need to keep a rock bass?

You might try shadow bass they are similar and grow to the same lakes and are pretty sweet.

Rock bass are definatly not the largest member of the sunfish family. The black basses (well most of them except the rarer ones like the shoal, red eye, coosa river ect) and crappies are all larger I thought?

Some one said rock bass get 17" Now that is HUGE!!!

No, you misunderstood. I said they are the largest member of their genus (Ambloplites).
