I do have a question for everyone. When you stack your live rock in your aquarium, do you normally stack it up close to the back of the aquarium where it can practically rest on and use the back glass of the aquarium as an extra support, or do you stack it more towards the middle of the aquarium? I'm just curious, because I've seen it both ways, and can't decide which way I ultimately want to make stack mine.

It is honestly up to you. I have had it stacked against the back but then it makes it harder to clean the back wall plus less places for fish to hide. I have mine built up a few inches from the back to allow the fish a place to retreat

I agree with Tmartinez. Leaving 2 to 3 inches from the back allows your fish to also swim behind the rock for hidding and also alot better to clean. Also keeps a better flow throughout your tank. The rocks may scratch the back glass if it is on it as well.

I stack mine in the middle. Leaves space for fish on all sides and easier to clean.
I myself stack it to make tunnels, holes, etc for that the fish can also swim thru the rock. This also allows you to place fragged pieces in the back to were they have time to grow and start looking good till they are sold off or places in the tank were they will fit best..
