I hope "taxed" isn't a term for "threatening/F'ing up"......

you can use 3m black t grade or s grade it looks just like that.... as for the rocks get them at your local rock yard used for landscaping... It would be dirt cheap..
Agreed, go with the 3M color quartz. I've read a few times that the moon sand is sharp. I have a bunch of the gray rock that I've been collecting for a front tank. But since I'm out of floor space it looks like the fronts wont be happening. I'd sell it to you but shipping would be a killer.

Ozz... Sorry to fart in your soup bowl but I wouldn't recommend using this type of slate for your tank or any slate-like rock. I know they're using it in this picture but from YEARS of keeping frontosas... esp. Zaires, they get spooked rather easily! (Esp. F-0). They're going to run into the rocks and hurt themselves or take an eye out! Bad news.... I wouldn't even use lace rock... stick to round, smoother cornered rocks... much safer for your investment in fish!

GL.... try going to Thompsons building supply, they sell all types of rock by the pound.

:iagree:
Ozz, you shoulda bought the black moon sand when I was selling them..:grinno:
I get all my rocks from Thompson Building Supply in Orange and Angelus Landscaping in Garden Grove. They have some really nice rocks there.
Good luck buddy
