I guess it could grow up to 2ft possible in my tank

nice....what do you feed that thing?? how big is your tank? ive heard that they do best in rounded tanks.

btw welcome 2 mfk!!!

I don't know who told you the paddlefish will only grow to 2ft. I hope you're ready to move him to large enough quarters in the near future. These fish grow to an average of 154 pounds (70 kilos) and lengths to 8 feet (2.5 meters).

Paddlefish are filter feeders. Live/frozen daphnia, brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, slow sinking crumbles, FD krill/plankton, mosquito larvae, and fish fry are fine for feeding to these fish. They'll even quickly learn to roll upside down to take floating food from the surface.

looks like a battering ram to me. lol I bet they can break though glass

As they grow, just keep in mind that a quarter of their length is inflexible bill. They're also constant cruisers. So, they're going to require a tank that provides a large swimming area (and feeding area) and a depth (front to back) that allows them sufficient room to turn without glancing/hitting the tank walls.
The best guide, for housing these fish, is to provide a tank a minimum of twice the length of the fish and 1.5 times the fish's length in depth of the tank.

(as adults, this translates to a 16 foot x 12 foot (4.9 meter x 3.7 meter) tank/pond)

The last 4 that I kept were grown out on an 8ft diameter vat then, transferred to my 34'x22'x2-5' pond to occupy the top portion of my sturgeon pond.
