I torched a 250,000$ yacht when i was 20 i was welding in the boat while it was still under construction in the assembly line. The fire watch that was asigned to me was new and walked off to the restroom without saying a word.I found that the boat to be in flames from behind me as it got real bright under my welding sheild and the fire got huge in seconds there was resins and flamables left aboard in the next room and a spark found it's way.No one got hurt but it was pretty scary osha told the company that they just can't have hot work going while resins are going down on the same boat makes good sense to me but when it happend the supervisors made me feal bad about it i was young and dumb and wanted to keep the job so i took all the mouth. That company went out of buiness shortly there after for obvious reasons i wish i could run into the supers now i would have some choice words for them. The kid that started this fire i have been in those shoes it's not fun but to send a new guy a teenager that probly never soddered a joint in his life in the multi million dollar house with a torch is just foolish on the part of the senior contractors they should handle the bill.
