Rope fish vs. Senegal Bichir

ropefish really need to be in groups of 3+ to have their personalities come out and be social, they're also notorious for getting out of even the most well covered tanks. I didn't really enjoy mine that much when i had them, but a lot of people love em. as far as senegal bichirs, they tend to be very active, good lookin fish - i got mine at petsmart in october when they were about an inch a piece and now they're closing in on 8", so fast growing fish with good personalities, plus they're typically cheaper. I also enjoy watching em feed because even if it's just pellets they attack them pretty hard
i like rope fish cause they look like there smiling and there like a snake but sen bichirs are so fascinating and active...idk what to do..i think though at the same time im leaning sen bichir..can i have two in there?NCStateFisher;5127273; said:
I have never had a ropefish but do have Senegal Bichir. I Love their personality and the very pretty fish. The one thing is they take a long time to feed or at least mine do. So if you have something that is an aggressive feeder you may run into problems.
