i recently got some rope fish and when i was learning about them i see that all rope fish are wild caught .that they dont breed in capitivity ,why is that does anybody know. cuz from what i understand rope fish are closely related too bichirs and from what ive heard most bichirs breed in captivity..any thoughts on this?

huh ya i dunno everything i ve seen said they arent but i dunno i wander why some are and some arnt is it take certain water conditons ath cant be duplicated but in the wild or space i guess you would have to ask an expert why they "cant be breed"

everything i read said they didnt as well but an expert on here told me they recently started 2 CB ropes i 4got where tho

Who said bichirs are easily to breed. Even farms will inject some hormones to force them to breed. If they are so easy to breed then people will just keep breeding them in their tanks and sell them.

Most happens accidentally as sometimes bichirs don't wear the bag. Lol!

If everyone were to breed them then they would loose ALL value (money wise) and you wouldnt be able to know you have something rare because everyone else would have it to
