rope fish

i was just wondering cuz when i was studyin up on the rope fish before i bout them i seen everywhere that absolutly all rope fish are wild caught that they will not breed in captivity , i was just wondering in general why some can and some wont.

YES they been captive breed many times and even produce in mass numbers in Asian fish farm. Have you not been reading my previous post that some are accidentally been breed in captivity but most are being injected by hormones. Even Frank Schafer who wrote the Aqualog Polypterus book even manage to breed them.
