what is the min tank size(--little or no tank mates--for a rope fish?

and stay the thickness of my middle finger. they look weird lol. i think they could get away with atleast a 20g long. but of course bigger is always better.

ok...what is the footprint of a 20 gal long?

30"Longx12"tallx13"wide should be fine, its a really small fish.

a standard 20gal is 2ft long, 13" wide, 15" tall

my 29 gal has the same dimensions.
I got a rope fish(not my choice ) so could live in my 29 gal as long as its to only fish in there?

They do best in multiples as they tend to be fairly sociable

with 29gallons, add a 2nd or 3rd to be friends with, they should be fine.
