CDM: Thanks for the help, you are correct I have an internal flash and a rubbish camera. I have a digital SLR available when I can source a lens for it. I have been practicing, trying different things but have not acheived anything like the quality of your pics.

I will continue and as soon as I have anything decent i will post it.

You are very welcome. If you are mainly on ancient fishes (or big fishes), a zooming lens with focal length ranged in 17-85mm would be handy. If you will take pics for smaller fishes (less than inch-sized), then you'll need 90-105mm macro lens (1:1).

I do crop often, but, the originals are very close to the final works. That might give you some idea.
