id feed him good the week b4 you leave but most fish can go a week or two with out eatting.......i know mines gone a few weeks with out eating unless he found a tidbit here and there............
Give them a couple days of heavy feeding do a waterchange before you leave they'll be fine.A Polypterid in good condition can go 2-4 weeks without eating.Many predatory fish build a deposit of fat they can draw energy from during lean times-Anne
